"Social Work p.r.n. provided me with an opportunity to explore various positions. I received calls from the coordinator of Social Work p.r.n. requesting my feedback and whether I thought it was a good fit for me. If I had any concerns I felt that I had an attentive listening ear and always felt that my concerns were heard." I wholeheartedly would recommend Social Work p.r.n.
Lorna, Social Worker
"Social Work p.r.n. provided us with extremely qualified social workers who embraced the work with enthusiasm, compassion, and intelligence. Social Work p.r.n. remained in consistent communication with us to evaluate the competency of the social workers, as well as their fit within our organization."
Administrator, Patient Care
Illinois Hospice Agency
"Two staff members had overlapping maternity leaves and were both going to be gone for 3 months during the program's busiest time. For the first time I decided to try a temp agency to fill this programmatic need. I was so pleased with the professionalism of the Social Work prn agency and the ethics they practiced in implementing their services. The quality of the candidates sent for interviews by Social Work prn so far surpassed the ones sent by the other agencies. I would never consider using any one but Social Work prn in the future."

National Network of mental health professionals is providing free mental health services to the U.S. Troops and families affected by the current military conflicts in Afghanistan and Iraq. Give an Hour is a nonprofit organization that has established a national network of mental health professionals in all 50 states, Washington, DC, Guam and Puerto Rico. Nearly 5,000 professionals have registered to participate in this critical effort. These licensed mental health professionals will give an hour of their time each week to provide free mental health services to military personnel and their families. In addition to providing direct counseling services, Give an Hour volunteers are working to educate the public and the military community and to reduce stigma so often associated with mental health. This organization was founded by Dr. Barbara Van Dahlen, a Washington, DC area psychologist. To locate a provider, simply visit www.giveanhour.org and use the zip code search. National Association of Social Workers(NASW)
Office of Ethics and Professional Review(OEPR)
As a service to members, the OEPR provides ethics consultations for current NASW members. Ethic consultations are a resource for members who are experiencing an ethical dilemma. We do not provide advice or tell members what to do. However, we do guide them through the Code and point them to the areas of the Code that address their concerns. We provide dialogue and considerations that allow members to make ethical decisions. We may also refer members to the appropriate areas if their questions do not appear to be related to ethics but are more related to legal issues or standards of practice.
