DESCRIPTION:Presented by:  Judith Dobrof, DSW, LCSWDr. Judith Dobrof will provide participants with step-by-step guidance on writing for publication in social work and other academic journals. It is relevant for social workers who have not yet published and those that have some experience writing for publication. Dr. Dobrof will review journal options, considerations on choosing to submit to particular journals and types of articles that are included in academic journals (e.g. program descriptions, research). Additionally, Dr. Dobrof will discuss how to get started (e.g. creating an outline, reviewing the literature), tips and best practices in composing articles and what to expect once it is submitted. There will be an opportunity for participants to discuss ideas for articles they would like to write.
