Description

Clinical Specialist needed for full-time, temp to permanent position in Philadelphia County. 

To facilitate participant assessment, habilitation planning, counseling and implementation of psychosexual services for adults with co-occurring intellectual disability and mental illness. To train and support staff in recovery-oriented services. To function as key liaison between Developmental Services and Behavioral Health Services, and external providers. To provide crisis intervention, support, and leadership. To achieve and maintain compliance with regulations within PA Chapter 5310, as well as funding entities, that references the work/service responsibilities of a Clinical Support Specialist.

Provides leadership in the training, support, and coaching of Developmental Service staff interactions with participants to ensure efficacy, consistency, and responsive crisis management.

Receives supervision from the Clinical and Behavioral Services Director.

MSW and at least 2 years of experience in the MH/ID and sexual offending fields: or any combination of experience, education or training that would provide the level of knowledge, skill, and ability required. Licensure preferred(LSW or LCSW).

Experience in residential, inpatient psychiatric, or related setting strongly preferred. Experience treating and evaluating individuals who have engaged in sexually abusive behaviors or related populations is strongly preferred. Experience with the Risk/Needs/Responsively model of sexual offense treatment, CBT, DBT, trauma-informed practices, substance abuse, and crisis response is preferred.

Detail oriented and very strong organization skills. Previous clinical experience conducting group and/or individual therapy sessions required. Strong counseling and direct service skills. Ability to work well as a member of a team and with all levels of staff. Demonstrated ability to develop and conduct clinical trainings for staff. PC proficiencies (MS Word, Power Point, and email). Must be available for local and regional travel, possess a valid driver’s license, and an acceptable driving record.

Must participate in On-call phone coverage in response to emergent situations, which may require on- or off-site presence (e.g., hospital, crisis evaluation center, etc.). Varied work hours, including occasional weekend presence. May be required to operate agency vehicle, including transport of program participants.
