Clinician needed for full-time, temporary position in Chester County (Oxford, PA).

Approximate 3 Month Position – 40 hours per week (or four 10-hour days)
General duties include the provision of mental health services to university students, assessment and consultation services, and mental health education and outreach programming.  The therapist is an integral team member in the Counseling Center.  In addition to his/her work providing counseling services to students, the Counselor serves as a professional resource providing consultation and outreach to the University community, as well as clinical supervision to trainees.

Essential Functions

  • Provides mental health counseling services (assessment, crisis intervention, individual and group counseling) for University students on a range of mental health, psychological, and personal concerns
  • Provides short term individual psychotherapy and crisis intervention and follow up
  • Develops and conducts group therapy sessions and group workshops
  • Complete and maintain clinical documentation (including, but not limited to, intake evaluations, clinical notes for individual and group and crisis intervention sessions, psychiatric referrals, and suicide risk assessments in a timely manner.
  • Provides consultation to faculty and staff on issues relevant to student mental health concerns, behavior, educational performance, safety and risk management as appropriate
  • Develops, coordinates, and implements student programming and outreach on a broad range of psychological and mental health issues
  • Assist with the design and delivery of presentations
  • Provides clinical case management services as needed or assigned
  • Participates in administrative meetings and case conferences
  • Develops, implement, and analyzes program assessments
  • Participates actively and constructively in institutional committees and partnerships related to student development, mental health, retention, and outreach
  • Participates in outreach activities
  • Performs other duties as assigned

PA LSW/LCSW with work experience in college counseling center. Three years’ experience in a clinical setting. Ability and experience working with a variety of culturally diverse populations. Experience in the use of electronic medical records; must be computer literate. Clinical experience working with individuals who are in varying states of emotional distress (suicidal) presenting with a wide range of psychological issues.
