To provide social and psychotherapeutic services to adults with mental illness in a recovery focused program.

Provide for the needs of the Person-In-Recovery (PIR) based on the principles and philosophy of recovery. Maintain clinical responsibility for the treatment of PIRs with mental illness and/or substance abuse problems.

Provide diagnostic assessment, bio-psycho-social intake evaluations and treatment planning.

Perform individual, group and family/couples therapy.

Facilitate referrals to appropriate internal and/or external resources where indicated. Complete all documentation accurately and on-time as required by client setting’s policy and procedure. Collaborate daily with the recovery team, psychiatrists and the PIR to integrate treatment and recovery.

Conduct treatment for PIR in the home and the community, i.e., individual, family and couples therapy. Develop skills to provide evidence-based treatment services, i.e., cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing.

Create and develop resources for client care and management through the use of case management and integration into other programs/services at client setting. Provide effective and efficient management of caseload. Demonstrate cultural sensitivity and competence and be trauma informed as relevant to the needs of persons-in-recovery.

Advocate for PIRs by providing education to individuals and community groups as needed. Adhere to all client setting policies and procedures including confidentiality, HIPAA, compliance, work rules, etc.

Participate in colleague consultations, staff meetings and continuing education. Maintain a productivity level as delineated by Unit director. Perform other duties as assigned.

MSW with relevant experience in mental health care delivery system - understanding of the principals of recovery in clinical practice. Ability to provide 24/7 on-call coverage on a rotating basis. Possess keen observation and listening skills. Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing with every level of the behavioral health system.  Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holiday hours as needed.
