Mary Dungy-Akenji, MSW, LCSW, PhD

Mary Dungy holds a Masters degree in Social Work from the University of Chicago's school of Social Service Administration. Mary's professional social work experience has been a diverse mix of community organizing, policy, advocacy, case management and guardianship work. Mary is also a current doctoral student at Loyola University of Chicago's School of Social Work and holds a Master's degree in theology.

The Lifeline and 988 - National Suicide Prevention Lifeline

988 has been designated as the new three-digit dialing code that will route callers to the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline. While some areas may be currently able to connect to the Lifeline by dialing 988, this dialing code will be available to everyone across the United States starting on July 16, 2022.

Social Work p.r.n. Offers Group Supervision

Do you want to become licensed as an LCSW (or LSW if you hold your BSW) and don’t know where to get the necessary supervision?

Do you currently receive supervision at your place of employment and this supervision does not fulfill the licensing requirements?

Do you want to jump start your career by becoming licensed?

We can help.  Social Work p.r.n. offers group supervision on Wednesday evenings here in our office in Oak Park.  Our group clinical supervision meets the requirements of the Illinois Departments of Professional Regulation for persons seeking licensure as Clinical Social Workers (LCSW) and if you have a BSW, as Social Workers (LSW). Computerized practice test for the LSW or LCSW offered 

Social Work p.r.n. offers social workers the opportunity to prepare for the LSW or LCSW exam with a user-friendly, computer-based practice test. The program allows you to take practice exams and to review your missed/incorrect answers.  Practice tests are available by appointment only Monday through Friday at 4:00pm.  Please call us at 708-383-2251 to schedule a time to come in to take the exam.
