Learning Objectives:
1. Identify the current state of social determinants of health challenges for people
residing in the greater Kansas City area.
2. Review 1-2 examples of validated SDOH screening tools used to identify and
measure the severity of life circumstances.
3. Explore how social work can demonstrate the value of addressing SDOH issues for
clients/ patients in an effort to improve their health.
